For the fourth we just hung out at home while Keith slept the day away as he had worked the previous night. The kids helped me make our annual 4th of July Star Cookies.
Yea! I am so glad to see you have a blog. I think awhile back I sent you an invitation to be a contributor to the maranamom's blog. I sent you another invite. We'd love you to share any ideas, deals, questions that you might have! (or maybe just thoughts) Follow the link I sent you and it will add you.
The Mair Family consists of Keith, Charity, Carissa, Daniel, Ariana, and Austin. Keith and I were married in July of 1998, shortly after having returned from our missions. Keith served in the New York,Utica mission and I served in the California, Arcadia mission. Neither of us are from AZ but here we met and stayed. Keith grew up in Utah and I in Texas. We have been blessed with four beautiful children all with their own unique personality. I am finding parenting isn't as simple as I thought it would be as a kid. You know those thoughts "when I grow up I am going to do...or I am not going to do...." What I discovered is: this is, a learn as you go process, and I have found laughter and love go a long way so live, love and laugh!
The funny things kids say...
We took a poll to see who liked the hair on Keith’s chin.It was three to three.Carissa, Daniel and I are not big fans and Keith, Ariana and Austin like it.I shared my opinion about how I didn’t like that it was two different colors with it being lighter in the middle emphasizing his chin.I said it reminded me of a goat which the kids thought was funny.Keith said, “Well that’s why it is called a goatee, because it looks like the hair on a goat’s chin.”Austin thought I said he had white hair and said “I have white hair” to which I responded “yes, you have light hair, you’re a towhead.”Daniel then said to Austin “that’s because your head is shaped like a toe.”
